Their main duties include ensuring inventory counts are accurate and up to date, logging all inventory movements in an organized spreadsheet or computer system, flagging shortages to Purchasing, partnering with Manufacturing to expedite delivery of materials, oversee an organized inventory location scheme, and ensuring that quantities of FGI, direct materials, and consumables aremaintained at all times.Key ResponsibilitiesManages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levelsEvaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control proceduresAnalyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortagesPartners with Logistics Specialist to manage deliveries and shipments to optimize operationsCommunicates with Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations teams to meet business goalsDevelops business relationships with consumables suppliers and implements VMI when feasibleProposes strategies to reduce costs and improve proceduresMonitors demand and analyzes space planning to anticipate future storage and logistical needsMaintains timely and accurate inventory dataDevelops Inventory department metrics and reports on inventory levels and procedural efficiency to upper management.Receiving and delivering of special orders to the appropriate departmentsEnsure that all part numbers match and the quantity noted on packing slips and that any special storage instructions are followed.Adheres to all applicable safety procedures and OSHA regulations for material handlingContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededDevelop and implement Inventory mapping systemLocation / HoursOn-site in Denton, TX.
