Culinary Aide

Position Summary

Provide customers and team members with clean and sanitized utensils, dishes, glassware, equipment and facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Dispose of all food, waste, and trash in accordance with established facility standards
• Empty and clean all kitchen garbage barrels
• Sweep floors, walk in freezer, refrigerator, and under all equipment
• Mop floors and clean out mop bucket
• Clean all kitchen equipment, tables, and counters in accordance with facility standards
• Check and clean grease traps
• Assist with categorizing and organizing as vendor orders are received

Competencies

Completion of daily cleaning checklists

Maintain clean and organized work space

Knowledge of menu and special diets

Safely use all kitchen equipment

Accurate labeling and dating of items

Ensure final product delivered to patient in accordance with PureHealth standards

Offer support and assistance to culinary team members

Accurate and timely recording of temperatures

Demonstrates sanitation expectations

Work Environment

This job operates in a post-acute setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the facility. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. Team member is expected to adhere to facility's no-smoking policy.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 60 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a position in a post-acute setting that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Weekend and holiday shifts will be required.
