Company: Yumi Ice Cream Co., IncLocation: The Colony, TXTitle: Delivery Merchandiser Lead (DML)Job Summary:The Delivery Merchandiser Lead (DML) is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of Delivery Merchandisers (DMs) and Delivery Merchandiser Reliefs (DMRs). This role ensures efficient product delivery, outstanding customer service, and consistent achievement of operational and financial targets.As a frontline leader, you will shape a high-performing team by providing hands-on guidance, reinforcing safety standards, and driving continuous improvement across delivery operations. Your leadership directly influences service quality, route execution, and the overall customer experience.Primary Responsibilities:* Providing coaching, training, and motivation to new and existing DMs and DMRs to ensure achievement of branch revenue, profit, and growth goals* Managing the performance of assigned DMs and DMRs to ensure customer base goals are achieved* Holding drivers accountable for meeting delivery, service, and productivity standards, up to and including termination of employment when necessary* Leading a strong safety culture by utilizing company safety initiatives to minimize injury, work time loss, and productivity loss* Ensuring that staffing levels are maintained at an appropriate level to meet current and future delivery needs* Conducting scheduled interactions such as ride-along, one-on-one meetings, and on-the-job training sessionsPhysical Requirements:* Physical demands with activity or condition existing a considerable amount of time include sitting, standing, bending, lifting and carrying products* Must be able to frequently lift/move 50 lbs.* Must be able to grip a minimum of 45 lbs. with each handMinimum Requirements:* High School Diploma or GED* 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience with strong Managerial Skills* Valid Texas Driver's License (Class C) with a minimum of 5 years driving experience, clean driving record with no moving violations over the past 3 years.* Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and order processing systems* Basic math skillset and the ability to read, write, and communicate in English related to job duties and safety regulations* No visible tattoos or piercings permitted while in the workplace* Smoke- & Vape-Free Workplace* Contingent upon the successful completion of a company-initiated and approved background check and motor vehicle report (MVR), drug screen, physical, and human performance evaluation (HPE)Benefits:* Paid Vacation and Holidays* Sick Days and Personal Days* Company-Paid Employee Life Insurance* Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance* Short Term Disability, Accident, Critical Illness, Optional Life and AD&D Insurance* 401(k) Retirement Plan* Employee Referral ProgramOther Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
