DevSecOps Engineer – Edge Platforms

Frisco, TX | Full-Time

An innovative technology company is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to help build and operate next-generation edge deployment infrastructure across embedded Linux and Kubernetes-based environments.

This role will focus on containerized edge deployments, embedded Linux platforms, CI/CD automation, and secure device lifecycle management across distributed IoT and edge systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Build and maintain Kubernetes/K3s edge deployment infrastructure
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for embedded Linux and containerized applications
• Support Yocto, Buildroot, Debian, and Ubuntu-based platforms
• Automate device provisioning, updates, monitoring, and fleet operations
• Improve security across software supply chain, OTA updates, and device authentication
• Work closely with engineering and infrastructure teams on scalable edge platform solutions

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering
• Strong Linux systems engineering background
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker/containerd, and CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with embedded Linux platforms such as Yocto or Buildroot
• Strong scripting/programming skills in Bash, Python, C, or Go
• Experience with edge/IoT deployments is highly desirable

Nice to Have:

• K3s, ArgoCD, Flux, Terraform, Ansible
• ARM-based hardware and embedded device management
• OTA update systems such as Mender, RAUC, or SWUpdate
• Security technologies including secure boot, TPM, encryption, and certificate management
