Position SummaryThe Service Operations Assistant supports Front-End leadership in driving efficient, customer-focused store operations. This role ensures smooth execution of front-end processes, maintains service standards, and provides operational and administrative support to deliver a positive shopping experience.Key Responsibilities Front-End Operations & Execution* Support daily front-end operations, including checkout flow, customer service desk, and queue management* Ensure registers and service areas are properly staffed and operating efficiently* Assist in monitoring transaction accuracy, payment handling, and policy compliance* Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all front-end areasCustomer Service* Deliver excellent customer service by assisting customers with transactions, returns, and inquiries* Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally* Support a friendly, fast, and efficient checkout experience* Promote customer loyalty programs and store initiativesAdministrative & Operational Support* Assist with cash handling procedures, register audits, and safe counts* Support scheduling coordination and shift coverage adjustments as needed* Help maintain accurate store records related to front-end activities* Assist with communication between front-end team and store leadershipLeadership & Team Support* Support training and onboarding of new front-end associates* Provide guidance during shifts to ensure productivity and service standards are met* Reinforce company policies, procedures, and service expectations* Promote a positive, team-focused work environmentCompliance & Safety* Ensure adherence to all company policies, cash handling procedures, and compliance standards* Maintain a safe and secure work environment at the front end* Follow all safety guidelines and support loss prevention effortsQualifications* Previous retail or customer service experience preferred* Strong customer service and communication skills* Basic understanding of cash handling and POS systems* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment* Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPhysical Requirements* Ability to stand for extended periods* Frequent interaction with customers and handling transactions* Occasional lifting of up to 25-35 lbs* Repetitive tasks including scanning, bagging, and handling cash
