Loan Operations Analyst - Corporate Lending Operations

We're looking for a highly detail-oriented and experienced Loan Operations Analyst to join our Syndicated & Corporate Lending Credit Fulfillment Team. In this crucial role, you'll support the loan booking and closing activities within our primary system of record, LoanIQ.

Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly review credit agreements to determine accurate pricing, contractual terms, and specific requirements.
  • Accurately enter and maintain data within the LoanIQ system.
  • Collaborate closely with deal teams to gather necessary documents, address inquiries, and confirm requirements for client engagement.
  • Efficiently prepare and process loan bookings and closings.
  • Occasionally interact with Agent Banks.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • LoanIQ Expertise: Proven proficiency in LoanIQ software or similar loan management systems is essential.
  • Banking/Finance Background: A degree or relevant experience in banking and/or finance.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to meticulously review and verify loan documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., attorneys, other departments).
  • Organization: Excellent organizational skills to manage and prioritize a high volume of loan closings efficiently.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues or discrepancies in loan documentation.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with loan management software and related tools commonly used in the financial industry.
  • Time Management: Effective time management to meet tight deadlines and ensure timely loan closings.
  • Customer Service: Commitment to providing excellent service and addressing queries.
  • Team Collaboration: Capacity to work effectively within a team environment, collaborating with underwriters, legal teams, and other departments.
  • Risk Management: Understanding of risk assessment and mitigation within corporate lending.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities for evaluating financial statements, credit reports, and other financial documents.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to handle changing priorities and evolving lending regulations.
  • Integrity & Confidentiality: Upholding the highest standards of integrity and respecting the confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
  • Independence: Must demonstrate the ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in Commercial Credit.
  • Experience in Wholesale Credit.
  • Fulfillment, Booking, or Funding experience (non-residential).
  • Experience reading and interpreting credit agreements.
  • Loan Syndication Knowledge: Understanding of syndicated lending processes and best practices.
  • Loan Documentation Expertise: Knowledge of loan documentation requirements, including familiarity with syndicated and corporate lending agreements.
  • Credit Analysis: Ability to assess the creditworthiness of corporate clients.
