Our client is seeking a highly skilled HRIS Specialist to own and operate our benefits administration technology across a growing portfolio of auto dealer clients. This role is responsible for configuring and managing Employee Navigator, maintaining carrier EDI connectivity, supporting payroll integrations, and ensuring accurate enrollment and billing operations.
This is a high-accountability role where your work directly impacts employees' access to coverage. You will partner closely with Account Management and Marketing to deliver a seamless client experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Employee Navigator Administration
• Configure and maintain Employee Navigator across all client groups (plan design, eligibility rules, open enrollment, portal setup)
• Manage employee lifecycle events: new hires, terminations, life events, and COBRA triggers within defined SLAs
• Serve as internal subject matter expert; train internal teams and client HR contacts
Carrier EDI & Eligibility
• Manage and monitor EDI/API connections across medical, dental, vision, life, and disability carriers
• Resolve file rejections and eligibility discrepancies within one business day
• Maintain accurate eligibility data across 400+ carrier connections
• Support onboarding and validation of new carrier integrations
Payroll Integrations
• Build and maintain benefit deduction integrations with payroll platforms (ADP, UKG, Paylocity, Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK)
• Troubleshoot data sync issues and coordinate resolution with client payroll teams
Billing & Administration
• Generate and reconcile monthly invoices against enrollment data
• Process retroactive adjustments and resolve discrepancies
• Partner with internal teams on collections and vendor payments
Requirements:
Core Experience (Required)
• 3+ years of hands-on Employee Navigator administration in a broker or multi-employer
environment
• 2+ years managing carrier EDI (834) connections and resolving eligibility errors
• Experience integrating benefits with at least one payroll platform (ADP Workforce Now, UKG, or Paylocity)
• Working knowledge of ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA in a group health context
• Experience administering benefits for employers with 50–500+ employees
Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of EDI 834/820 file structures and carrier connectivity workflows
• Proficiency in Excel for auditing, reconciliation, and billing validation
• Clear, proactive written communication with audit-ready documentation standards
Preferred Experience
• Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK payroll platforms
• Familiarity with PlanYear or similar decision support tools
• Salesforce or CRM experience
Evaluation Priority
Candidates with multi-platform payroll integration experience (ADP, UKG, Paylocity, Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK) will be strongly prioritized.
What Sets This Role Apart:
Employee Navigator is the backbone of the service model. This role requires deep platform
expertise — not basic usage. The ideal candidate can:
• Manage multi-employer broker accounts at scale
• Build and execute open enrollment campaigns end-to-end
• Troubleshoot EDI and eligibility issues independently
• Configure payroll integrations and ACA workflows
