Role SummaryThe SQL Server Engineer supports day-to-day operations of SQL Server databases in public cloud environments, executing standardized operational tasks, monitoring, and maintenance activities.Experience Level3-6 years of SQL Server administration1+ year supporting DBaaS in public cloud environmentsSupport ModelOff-shift / rotating schedule required (24x7 operations)Key ResponsibilitiesSupport SQL Server database operations in public cloud DBaaS environmentsPerform routine database backup, restore, and patching activitiesMonitor database health and performance using cloud-native monitoring toolsAssist with database provisioning and configuration using approved IaC templatesExecute database refreshes, exports, and importsMonitor and manage transaction logs, database file growth, TempDB and storage utilizationAssist with basic performance tuning tasks, including index maintenance and execution of approved tuning scriptsSupport database security controls, including role and permission verification, encryption validation, and audit logging supportFollow documented operational procedures and standardsDocument incidents, changes, and maintenance actionsParticipate in rotating/off-shift schedules for 24x7 supportEscalate complex issues to SMEs or Leads as neededRequirements3+ years of SQL Server administration1+ year supporting DBaaS in public cloud environmentsCompensation & BenefitsWhere required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role will depend on the nature of the role offered and will either be $70,000 - $103,000. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. If the position offered is temporary, it will not be eligible for incentive compensation.This position is eligible for company benefits that will depend on the nature of the role offered.
