The Juvenile Supervision Officer II performs work supervising juveniles in departments secure facilities to ensure their safety and welfare, shift coverage, and transporting juveniles between jails, medical institutions, schools, and other locations. This position is responsible for providing training and mentoring for new and inexperienced staff that models proper section management and proper techniques for supervising juveniles in custody, including the proper ways to address serious behavioral issues and crisis management. Examples of Duties Performs all essential duties of a Juvenile Supervision Officer I, to include providing direct supervision of detained or referred youth and ensures the youth follow facility rules, taking disciplinary action as necessary.
