Job Details

Under general supervision of the Planning Manager or his/her designee and other senior level positions, the Planner I performs professional review of municipal planning applications and completes special projects. This position implements and enforces the Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision Ordinance, Comprehensive Plan, and other applicable City Ordinances, and provides Staff support to elected and appointed officials. The Planner I performs professional level duties and manages smaller, less complex development projects and leads smaller, less complex pre-submittal meetings, HOA meetings, etc. The intent of this position description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbent(s) in this position.
