Job Details

The Welder is responsible for installing and welding natural gas, steel pipelines, and fittings. This position supports the Line team and works with personnel in the field and within the department. The Gas Pipeline Welder is an integral position in the process of construction, maintenance, replacement, and repair of natural gas distribution infrastructure. This position performs various welding tasks associated with new construction, repair and maintenance of existing gas utility lines and related systems/equipment such as welding pipe casings, welding vault lids and pipe fittings, welding metal parts together, welding hot gas mains, repairing broken or cracked parts, filling holes, fabricating special parts and apparatus, etc. Responsibilities Operate jobsite equipment safely.
