Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Executive Chef to lead the culinary program for an upcoming upscale American sports bistro. This role requires a chef who can deliver elevated, high-quality cuisine in a high-energy, sports-driven environment while maintaining exceptional standards of consistency, creativity, and execution.

The ideal candidate brings a balance of refined culinary technique and approachable, crowd-pleasing menu development, with a strong understanding of both classic American fare and modern trends.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met at all times
  • Develop and execute a refined American menu that complements a vibrant sports bar atmosphere
  • Create innovative specials and seasonal menu updates that drive guest engagement
  • Maintain strong cost controls, including food cost, labor, and inventory management
  • Hire, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with leadership on concept development, promotions, and events tied to major sporting occasions
  • Oversee high-volume service periods while maintaining fine dining-level execution
  • Build strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality sourcing and cost efficiency
Qualifications
  • 5-8+ years of experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in an upscale or high-volume concept
  • Strong background in American cuisine, with the ability to elevate traditional dishes
  • Experience in high-volume kitchens with a focus on consistency and speed without compromising quality
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and retain high-performing teams
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, food cost management, and labor controls
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, sports-centric environment
  • Culinary degree preferred but not required
