Job Title: Design Consultant


As a design consultant at Bumble Bee Blinds, you will be responsible for selling window covering products (shades, shutters, blinds, drapery, and outdoor patioscreens) and installation services to residential and commercial clients in your market. You will help build a cliental, drive sales revenue and back the company on standards, quality, and professionalism. A successful design consultant will hold oneself to high customer service standards while being detail-oriented, organized, creative, ambitious, and very personable. You will use your strong listening and communication skills, as well as intellectual capital and a sale driven mindset to present innovative solutions to prospective customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides reliable, high quality customer support.
  • Drive leads. Answer new and existing customers' phone calls while following sales processes.
  • Network and build relationships at BNIs, Chamber of Commerce, custom home builders, patio builders, commercial property owners, residential builders to increase lead capture for sales.
  • Schedule and perform in-home consultations, customer instruction on various window covering options and functionality, to provide estimates.
  • Build and nurture strong networking relationships with new clients, existing clients, interior designers, realtors, and builders in the market.
  • Responsible for maintaining, updating, and communicating client data, project status, and job details in the CRM.
  • Utilizes customer information, materials, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks.
  • Completes and submits all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
  • Meet work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
  • Monitor and review all work orders to ensure customer expectations are met in a timely manner.
  • Maintain constant communication between all departments, as well as customers, on current work orders.
  • Manage and maintain daily sales reporting.
  • Collect balances due once work is completed and customer satisfaction met.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings, webinars, and trainings.
  • Arrive on time to work and any/all appointments and meetings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must have two or more years of experience in customer service industry or commercial sales.
  • Must have a working knowledge of CRM programs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Very detail oriented, organized, and can keep efficient notes and records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including and understanding of basic grammar and writing.
  • High energy, positive attitude, and forward thinking.
  • Strong team player and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Window Covering Sales/Service Experience Preferred, Not Required
  • Must be able to demonstrate willingness to be flexible and adapt to change.
  • Ability to follow policy and procedures.
  • Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Strong working knowledge of common computer software including but not limited to: MS Outlook, word, excel, CRM.
