The Shop Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules that support efficient shop operations and on-time delivery. This role works cross-functionally to align materials, labor, equipment, and capacity, ensuring schedules are accurate, executable, and optimized for performance.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and manage detailed production schedules based on demand, resources, and capacity constraints
  • Monitor daily production and adjust schedules to address changes in materials, equipment, or labor availability
  • Track and report on schedule adherence, production output, and overall performance
  • Utilize ERP systems and planning tools to maintain accurate production data and reporting
  • Identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements to enhance workflow and efficiency
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, procurement, and other teams to support operational goals
  • Assist with forecasting, capacity planning, and order tracking

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • 4-7 years of related experience in production scheduling, shop scheduling, manufacturing planning, or a similar operational role.
  • Experience working independently on moderately complex scheduling and planning activities.
  • Experience with advanced planning tools and databases is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial shop environment is preferred.
