Position Title: Release Train Engineer

Location: Plano, TX

Pay Rate: $65 - $80.00 per hour W2

Position Description:

Join a dynamic team as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Agile Coach, leading Agile teams through successful software development projects. This contract-to-hire position offers the opportunity to oversee multiple teams, facilitate key Agile ceremonies, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. You will serve as a people manager for up to six Scrum Masters or Agile Delivery Leads, coaching them and their teams on Agile best practices, managing dependencies, and ensuring adherence to Scrum and SAFe principles. Collaborate with product management, architecture, and operations to align project objectives, track performance metrics using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, and PowerBI, and foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and innovation. Your expertise will help optimize delivery pipelines, improve team performance, and support organizational Agile transformation efforts. This role offers a chance to influence enterprise Agile practices and contribute to impactful technology initiatives.

Top Requirements:

  • Strong experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Agile Coach within scaled Agile frameworks like SAFe, LeSS, or Kanban
  • Proven leadership in facilitating Agile ceremonies such as PI Planning, retrospectives, and program-level workshops
  • Excellent coaching skills with the ability to mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and senior stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of Agile principles, Scrum practices, and software delivery lifecycle
  • Experience tracking Agile metrics, optimizing capacity, and managing resources across multiple teams
  • Effective communicator with strong facilitation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate in a hybrid Waterfall-Agile environment, managing multiple priorities in a distributed team setting (onshore, nearshore, offshore)
