Material Program Manager

Raytheon is looking for an experienced Material Program Manager (MPM) to join the Advanced Technologies (AT) Airborne Spectrum Dominance (ASD) product line operations & Supply Chain (OSC) team supporting a portfolio of fast-paced development programs in a Transition To Production (TTP) environment. The successful candidate will be a self-starter capable of developing and achieving program material delivery and financial performance objectives in a matrixed environment and successfully interface with functional and program leadership.

In this highly visible role, you'll be the liaison between Supply Chain and Program teams. You'll execute the Program material strategy to ensure the flawless execution from the front end of the business through contract closure.

This position supports product development efforts and requires the ability to operate in a challenging and constantly changing environment where successful material strategy execution is a key contributor to overall program success.

This position is an onsite working location role with some schedule flexibility.

What You Will Do:

  • Work as a Control Account Manager (CAM) or support the CAM including the Risk and Opportunity (R&O) management process
  • Own the monthly Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) and/or Estimate At Complete (EAC) process for your scope and track portfolio level sales performance against forecasts
  • Plan and execute sourcing decisions and support the Make/Buy/Where (M/B/W) process
  • Develop and execute a Material Program Plan (MPP) and Supplier Management Plans (SMPs)
  • Generate Supplier Request for Information/Proposals/Quotes (RFIs/RFPs/RFQs), and obtain and understand supplier proposals/quotes
  • Assist with the generation of Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs)
  • Identify Customer Prime Contract Flow-Downs and initiating Material Contract Briefs (MCBs) with required Terms Attachments (T-Attachments) and/or Modifications (TCMs)
  • Participate in supplier engagements and reviews to ensure supplier performance
  • Driving Purchase Requisition generation & Purchase Order placement/management using Material Request Forms (MRF) and/or Master Scheduling Authorization Tool (MSALT)
  • Coordinating purchase requirements with Engineering, Program Operations Management, and Production Control Planning and Scheduling

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience with budget management, finance and/or Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • Experience with Supply Chain, Operations, and/or Procurement processes and requirements
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and TINA compliant Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Prior work experience with Microsoft Office software applications (Word, PowerPoint, and/or Excel including Pivot Tables)
  • Excellent reporting/communication skills and experience leading and/or participating in cross functional teams
  • Experience with Latest Revised Estimate (LRE), Estimate At Complete (EAC), and Risk and Opportunity (R&O) management processes
  • Strong user experience with SAP PRISM
  • Experience supporting complex product development, Transition To Production efforts, and Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs)
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
