Part-Time Accounting Manager

Aliso Viejo, CA (Remote opportunity)

Schedule: 1520 hours per week (flexible)

Target pay is $50-60 per hour

Our client is seeking Part-Time Accounting Manager that has a strong understanding of investment accounting. Great opportunity for someone at the Accounting Manager/Controller level seeking a part time role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain financial records for 3 principals across 12 entities held in trust
• Prepare monthly balance sheets with detailed breakdowns (cash, marketable securities, other holdings)
• Track and record investment activity, including acquisitions, liquidations, and distributions
• Record dividends and interest income
• Analyze month-over-month changes and provide clear commentary on variances
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Handle light AP (minimal volume)
• Support ad hoc reporting as needed

Qualifications:

• Accounting Manager-level experience or Controller level
• Strong understanding of investment accounting
• Experience preparing financial statements and analyzing variances
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Strong Excel skills (vlookup/pivot tables)
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
