About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our upscale American bistro located in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, strong leadership skills, and the ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced, fine dining environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and menu planning.
  • Supervise and coordinate food preparation and cooking activities.
  • Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all dishes served.
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff to uphold culinary standards.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in an upscale American bistro or fine dining restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of American cuisine and contemporary culinary techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000 per year
