PGS Worldwide is seeking an Assembly Operator in McKinney, TX for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role supports mechanical and electronic assembly in a cleanroom manufacturing environment, working with precision components and detailed instructions to build advanced technology products. You will contribute to production operations while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical and/or electronic assembly in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment and following strict procedures
• Proficiency using hand tools, torque tools, and soldering equipment
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for small component assembly
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and technical documentation
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to obtain required process certifications
• U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Skills

• Experience with shop floor systems such as SAP, CMES, or similar
• Ability to train others once certified
• Technical certificate or Associate's degree

What You'll Do

• Perform mechanical and electronic assembly using hand tools, fasteners, and precision torque tools
• Assemble components including machined housings, circuit cards, motors, mirrors, and optical assemblies
• Perform soldering, repair, and inspection of electrical and mechanical systems
• Complete detailed hand work including wire sleeving, bonding materials, and fine component handling
• Follow work instructions, technical drawings, and process documentation
• Work safely with approved chemicals and adhere to safety protocols
• Cross-train across production areas to support operational needs
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, cost, and schedule
• Maintain productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Work Schedule / Shift

• Friday-Sunday, 6:00 AM-6:00 PM or 6:00 PM-6:00 AM
