Senior Business Analyst / Scrum Master
Data & Analytics Platform (SHARP)

30% remote (must live in the Austin area)
4 month contract

This role sits right in the middle of business, data, and delivery.

You're not just gathering requirements. You're helping shape how a data platform evolves, keeping teams aligned, and making sure what gets built actually delivers value.

We're looking for someone who can operate as a Business Analyst, step into Scrum Master responsibilities, and handle project coordination when needed. You'll be supporting an analytics platform expansion, working with internal teams and a vendor to improve reporting and data capabilities.

You'll be the connective point between business stakeholders, in-house developers, and an external sprint team, making sure priorities are clear, progress is tracked, and nothing drifts.

Must haves
• 8+ years of experience in Business Analysis and Project Management
• Strong experience managing enterprise-scale data or analytics projects
• Experience working in Agile environments, ideally within government or similar regulated environments
• Experience serving as a liaison between business teams and IT (architecture, development, support)
• Strong experience gathering requirements and translating them into actionable work
• Experience managing project scope, schedule, and budget
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and provide status updates
• Experience working with data, including analyzing raw data and supporting reporting initiatives

Nice to have
• Experience with tools like Jira or similar project tracking systems
• Experience supporting Quality Assurance and testing efforts
• Experience with data analysis and reporting platforms
• Experience working within structured delivery frameworks such as the Texas Project Delivery Framework
• Agile certifications such as CSM, PMI-ACP, or similar
• PMP certification or project management background

Here's what the work looks like.

You'll lead requirements efforts, working with stakeholders to understand what's needed and how it should be delivered. You'll support QA and validation to make sure what gets built actually works.

You'll also step into Scrum Master responsibilities. That includes running meetings, coordinating with the vendor sprint team, tracking progress, and keeping communication clear across all groups involved.

On the project side, you'll manage timelines, scope, and reporting, making sure leadership has a clear view of where things stand and what risks need attention.

This role requires someone who can move between business conversations, data discussions, and delivery tracking without losing momentum.
