Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline. Having 6+ years of relevant experience in data warehouse projects. Informatica PowerCenter: Strong knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter, the flagship ETL tool of Informatica, used for data integration and transformation. Understanding how to create mappings, workflows, and sessions is essential. Data Integration: Ability to integrate data from various sources such as databases, files, APIs, and applications using Informatica. Data Transformation: Proficiency in using Informatica transformations to cleanse, filter, aggregate, and transform data according to business requirements. Performance Tuning: Skill in optimizing Informatica mappings and sessions to improve performance and reduce processing time. Error Handling and Logging: Understanding how to implement error handling mechanisms and logging strategies to identify and address data integration issues. Scheduling and Automation: Knowledge of scheduling Informatica workflows and tasks to automate data integration processes. Metadata Management: Familiarity with Informatica's metadata management capabilities to document and track data lineage and impact analysis. Database Skills: Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases, as Informatica often interacts with various database systems. Data Warehousing Concepts: Knowledge of data warehousing principles, including dimensional modeling, star schema, and data mart design. Data Quality and Profiling: Ability to use Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) to profile, cleanse, and standardize data. Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD): Understanding of SCD Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 implementation using Informatica PowerCenter. Change Data Capture (CDC): Knowledge of implementing CDC strategies to capture and process only changed data in the source. Parameterization and Variables: Skill in using parameters and variables in Informatica to make workflows and mappings flexible and reusable. File Handling: Familiarity with handling various file formats like CSV, XML, and JSON in Informatica. API Integration: Understanding of integrating with external systems and APIs using Informatica. Debugging and Troubleshooting: Ability to debug and troubleshoot issues in Informatica workflows and mappings. Version Control: Knowledge of version control tools to manage Informatica code and artifacts effectively. Data Governance and Security: Understanding data governance practices and implementing data security measures within Informatica. Cloud Integration: Familiarity with Informatica's cloud integration capabilities for hybrid and multi cloud scenarios.
