Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipments. Records applicable shipment data, assembles, and routes various types of printed material and moves material within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties:
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Must be familiarized with the standard concepts, practices, and procedures for the shipping/warehouse area and performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Two years shipping/warehouse experience. Moderate computer knowledge. Knowledge of mechanical parts nomenclature. Ability to read and understand English instructions. Basic math skills required. Conversion of unit of measure. Accurate counting and interpretation of sales order quantity in shipment.
