Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be at the center of one of our most engaging departments. As a Protein Foods Clerk, you will:

• Provide outstanding customer service while practicing safe food handling procedures.
• Possess a solid understanding of product knowledge and preparation techniques.
• Receive, store, grind, and manage meats; unload fresh and packaged products from delivery trucks.
• Count, weigh, and compare incoming products with invoices.
• Examine and rotate meats to maintain freshness.
• Assist customers with inquiries, special orders, and product location within the store while keeping a positive work environment.
• Adhere to all procedural guidelines and participate in Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess basic math skills.
• Dependable and reliable; willing to perform additional responsibilities as needed.
• Outgoing and friendly with a positive attitude; excellent customer interaction skills.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department.
• Follow all health, safety, and company guidelines.
• Capable of standing for up to 8 hours per shift and walking up to 2 miles.
• Ability to lift/carry products weighing between 25 to 90 lbs.
• Use equipment such as pallet jacks and wrapping machines safely.
