Home Helpers is currently seeking an experienced caregiver to provide medication reminders and light housekeeping. Candidates must have dementia experience, be comfortable around dogs, and be willing to drive the client for errands.

Responsibilities

• Must be comfortable providing client transportation

• Reliable vehicle with valid driver's license and insurance required

• Ability to provide hands-on, full personal care

• Client is classified as Patient Care Level 3 due to:

  • Diagnosis of dementia

  • History of falls

  • Ongoing need for significant personal care

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, toileting, and grooming

• Assist with transfers and mobility support

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping

• Offer medication reminders

• Follow each client's individualized care plan

• Communicate clearly and professionally with families and team members

• Accurately document daily activities and observations

• Perform other caregiving duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of professional caregiving experience

• Experience supporting clients with dementia or memory care needs

• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor

• Excellent reliability and work ethic

• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current car insurance

• Ability to pass a 50-state background check and drug screening

Work Environment

Care is provided in the client's private home. This position requires physical activity, including standing, walking, and assisting with personal care.
