Job Overview

As a Day Shift Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring our production processes run smoothly. You will operate a front-end loader to efficiently feed our plant and load trucks, while also monitoring material quality and collaborating with team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a front-end loader to feed the plant and load trucks
• Conduct daily inspections and perform basic maintenance on equipment
• Monitor material quality and actively communicate with team members to achieve production goals
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards
• Support various quarry operations as required

Qualifications

• Proven ability to safely operate heavy equipment in a production setting
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and hazard recognition
• Able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Willingness to perform physically demanding outdoor work

Employment Conditions

• Must successfully complete a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screening, and background check

Work Environment

• This role primarily involves working in environments with moving mechanical equipment, unpredictable weather, and elevated noise levels.

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity necessary to operate heavy machinery safely
• Capability to work in uneven terrain and confined spaces
• Tolerance for exposure to dust, vibration, and typical quarry conditions
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) for long periods
