Description:

North American Roofing Services was established 40+ years ago with a mission to provide quality commercial and industrial roofing services to customers through innovative engineered solutions and exceptional customer service. Servicing national clients, we provide commercial repair and maintenance services along with new and re-roof installations across the US.

We are currently searching for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator who will support the recruitment, talent management, compensation, and benefits areas for North American Roofing. The primary focus will be on Talent Acquisition. We are looking for a driven and continuous improvement minded individual to join our team. We require someone that is excited to engage with candidates and employees alike to continue to contribute to the success of our team and organization.

This is a hybrid position with a combined requirement of weekly time in office at our Tampa offices and work from home days.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Responsible for full cycle recruitment process including passive sourcing and screening of applicants.
  • Launches assessments for candidates.
  • Conduct new hire orientation, as needed.
  • Will create offer letters, launch onboarding, complete I9s, and ensure employees files are complete.
  • Works with hiring managers to determine the recruiting solution to use for their position as well as guide them through the process.
  • Conducts screening interviews, and first level interviews. Provides feedback to hiring managers.
  • Track and review data to determine the effectiveness of recruitment sources and for budgeting purposes.

Talent Management

  • Assist with performance management and employee relations.
  • Assist with the annual performance review process that facilitates effective feedback between managers and employees.
  • Process separated employees.
  • Assist with auditing employee files and I9s.

Policies and Procedures

  • Assist with policy and guideline development as needed to ensure company practices are compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements as well Company standards.
  • Partner with HR team on employe handbook updates.
  • Conduct research on legislative, regulatory, and current events as they impact the business and then communicate those changes to the rest of the Human Resources team.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Assist with the development of a compensation structure within the production/install groups.
  • Gather and review market data to ensure compensation plans attract and retain talent.
    Participate in the annual benefit renewal process.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 1+ years in a Human Resources role
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a hybrid, general office environment. Repetitive bending and stooping with occasional lifting up to 20 pounds is required. Repetitive finger/hand/forearm motion necessary for completing data entry. Ability to manipulate keyboards, telephone keypads and copy equipment essential. Talking and listening required for answering telephones and conversing personally with customers and staff. Manual dexterity required for accessing filing cabinets in various locations.
