Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX . Candidates must have strong hands-on expertise in Gen AI prompt engineering, connecting LLMs, Agentic AI, and Model Context Protocol to be considered for this role.
Rate Range: $41/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Design and refine prompt strategies, templates, and chains to improve LLM accuracy, grounding, and controllability.
- Architect and implement agentic workflows that plan, call tools/APIs, and orchestrate multi-step reasoning across connected LLMs.
- Integrate and manage LLM connections using AWS Bedrock, standardizing deployment, routing, and model selection.
- Apply and govern Model Context Protocol (MCP) for tool registration, retrieval, and context injection across services.
- Build and optimize evaluation and guardrail frameworks (offline/online tests, red-teaming, safety filters) with clear observability.
- Collaborate with product and engineering to translate use cases into scalable GenAI services with versioning, rollout, and rollback strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- 9-12 years of experience in AI, GenAI, LLM integrations, and agentic system development.
- Requires strong hands-on expertise in Agentic AI, connecting LLMs using AWS Bedrock, and advanced prompt engineering.
- Requires a solid understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP) to support tool registration, context handling, and model orchestration.
