Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving endtoend change and release management processes while ensuring seamless delivery across Dev, QA, and operations teams.
Rate Range: $49/hour to $ 53 /hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Plan, schedule, and execute software releases endtoend, managing risk, approvals, and cutover plans across environments.
- Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines (Git/Jenkins) to standardize build, test, deploy, and rollback workflows.
- Orchestrate deployments on AWS/Kubernetes (EKS, ALB, EC2, S3, CloudFront) with container-based (Docker) release patterns and blue/green or canary strategies.
- Govern change and release processes in ServiceNow/JIRA-ensure CMDB accuracy, quality gates, change records, and stakeholder communications.
- Drive environment and configuration management, drift detection, and compliance controls across dev/test/stage/prod.
- Lead cross-functional coordination (Product, Arch, Dev, QA, Ops, Prod Support), facilitate go/no-go meetings, and run DR test and rollback exercises.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 10+ years of experience in release management, change management, and DevOps within enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in CI/CD automation, Git/Jenkins pipelines, ServiceNow/JIRA change processes, and AWS/Kubernetesbased deployment practices.
- Proven ability to lead crossfunctional release coordination, manage environment/configuration governance, and support DR testing and production deployment operations.
