Raw Material Receiving Specialist

The raw material receiving specialist is responsible for ensuring that all raw materials are received, documented, and reported accurately and in compliance with company standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining material traceability, supporting timely payments, and assists the buying group in maintaining proper inventory levels to support operations.

Objectives:

• Receive and verify raw material shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and BOLs to ensure accuracy of quantity, material type, and specifications
• Communicating damaged and/or incorrect materials with the corresponding vendor(s).
• Communicate shortages, discrepancies, and other potential issues to purchasing for timely resolution
• Maintain accurate receiving records and documentation to support regulatory compliance and internal/external audits

Required Skills:

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
• Able to work well with other team members and offers to assist others if/when needed
• Punctual and excellent attendance, can self-manage work hours based on workload
• High school diploma required, with 3-5 years of related experience preferred
• Associates and/or bachelor's degree a plus
• Experience in warehouse, receiving, or manufacturing environment preferred
• Basic computer and ERP system skills
• Ability to read and understand shipping documents and specifications
