Position Overview

Technical Project Manager - IT, Emerging Technology

The Technical Project Manager - Emerging Technology plays a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of innovative IT initiatives that support the organization's digital transformation. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of emerging technology projects-from concept through deployment-ensuring alignment with business goals, technical feasibility, and user experience excellence.

This individual will collaborate across IT, business units, and external partners to evaluate, pilot, and implement next-generation technologies such as AI, automation, IoT, and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong execution skills, capable of navigating ambiguity, and leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership & Execution
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of emerging technology projects using agile and hybrid methodologies.
  • Define project scope, goals, success metrics, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Manage project risks, dependencies, and change control processes to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.

• Technology Strategy & Innovation
  • Partner with IT leadership to identify and evaluate emerging technologies that align with business priorities.
  • Translate technical trends into actionable project opportunities and roadmaps.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments, proof-of-concepts, and pilot programs to validate new solutions.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Facilitate clear communication across all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment and transparency.
  • Lead stakeholder meetings, status updates, and executive briefings.

• Operational Excellence
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including charters, schedules, budgets, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support change management and training efforts to ensure successful adoption of new technologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in technical project management, preferably in IT or digital transformation environments.
• Strong understanding of emerging technologies such as AI/ML, RPA, cloud platforms, and data analytics.
• Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project, ServiceNow) and agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to use data to inform decisions.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
