Our client is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant in Plano, TX for a full-time, onsite position as part of a 4-6 week contract. This role offers hands-on experience in financial operations and accounting support.

Junior Staff Accountant Role:
As the Junior Staff Accountant, you will support the Controller/CFO in day-to-day financial operations. Responsibilities include managing core accounting functions, providing administrative finance support, overseeing transactional accounting, assisting with reporting, collaborating with leadership and operational teams, and handling month-end close activities.
- Supporting the Controller/CFO with daily accounting operations
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Preparing, issuing, and tracking customer invoices
- Monitoring aging reports and assisting with collection efforts
- Supporting banking operations and cash management activities
- Monitoring cash flow and fee projections
- Collaborating with office managers and administrative staff on financial processes
- Performing accounting-related office management functions as needed
- Handling additional accounting and finance-related duties as assigned
Junior Staff Accountant Background Profile: - 1-2 years of experience in full-cycle accounting
- Accounting degree preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Experience with accounting systems (Deltek Vision a plus)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
