Summary
This requisition expires on May 9, 2026 but may close earlier if the position is filled prior to the expiration date.
Responsible for hosting birthday parties including, but not limited to, greeting guests, maintaining birthday party area, serving food and beverages, and assisting with party activities.

DUTIES
- Work scheduled parties and events at assigned location.
- Greet and assist guests with requests; bring in and store gifts.
- Set up and clean up for booked parties; maintain cleanliness and organization of party area.
- Serve food and beverages to all party guests.
- Direct all guests to areas throughout Water Works Park and the Denton Natatorium.
- Handle and resolve guest concerns in a courteous and professional manner; notify leadership immediately if not able to resolve customer concerns.
- Attend all staff meetings and trainings, as required.

Job RequirementsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS - One (1) year experience in customer service, or related field; and,
- Red Cross or American Heart Association Adult CPR, AED & First Aid Certification designated timeframe outlined for program (online training is not valid).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYEMENT - Must pass a drug test, criminal history background check, and social security number verification.
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Must pass a physical examination.
- Must have or obtain Red Cross or American Heart Association Adult CPR, AED & First Aid Certification designated timeframe outlined for program (online training is not valid).
Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical RequirementsSAFETY - Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment; ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing; operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Promptly report unsafe conditions in work area and/or any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Safety Sensitive (Subject to random drug testing): Yes.
- Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including computer and peripherals; birthday party supplies and food service equipment.
- Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; occasional stooping, squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
- Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions; occasional reaching.
- Lifting: Lifting no more than 50 pounds and carrying no more than 25 pounds.
- Environment: Works inside and outside with exposure to inclement weather, climate-controlled environment, noise, debris, odor, and chemicals; occasionally requires irregular and/or prolonged hours.
- Travel: Travels to City of Denton buildings and professional meetings as required.
- Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position.
- Must be able to work weekends, overtime or outside of normal business hours, as required.
- Must be able to obtain Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED and First Aid certification by the designated timeframe outlined for program.
- Must be able to work on a rotating schedule seven (7) days per week.
