Animal Control Officer - Part-Time

Collin County has an immediate opening for an Animal Control Officer - Part-Time in our Animal Services department.

This position is responsible for feeding and watering all animals, retrieving all food and water bowls from dog kennels and moving all dogs into outside/inside kennels. Responsibilities also include cleaning all dog kennels, cat cages/rooms, food and water bowls, common areas, intake room, food prep room, hallways, lobby floors, cat food prep, and janitorial room. Other duties include performing laundry duties, assisting the S.C.O.R.E. Deputy with work assignments for the S.C.O.R.E. inmates, running Animal Inventory Report and performing inventory, running Available Animal Listing, assisting SPCA with evaluation and loading of animals, checking Animal Night Drops, processing any animals into Shelter (or notify Officer that animals are in intake), and assisting with animal vaccination (vaccine prep, holding animals, etc.).

Work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. No experience required. Must have level of education equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency. Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Operator's Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
