Our client in Plano, TX is seeking a Material Handler (Picker/Packer) to join their team. With this position, you will be part of the warehouse department supporting the production floor. The ideal candidate will have attention-to-detail, good organization skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Material Handler (Picker/Packer)
Pay Range: $20.00/hr depending on experience
Job Type: Temp-to-hire
Hours / Location: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm / Plano, TX
What's the Job?
- Unboxes raw material and performs minor assembly with power screwdriver
- Packages materials and products manually.
- Folds and tapes boxes, applies labels, and stacks boxes on pallets according to direction.
- Performs basic quality control checks including measuring, weighing, strength testing, package counts, and evaluating product or package appearance.
- Inspects deliveries for damages or defects, records discrepancies, notifies team.
- Picker/Packer and material handling experience
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms while taking and hearing
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance of others
- Capable of following written instructions and pre-established guidelines.
- Attention to detail and good organization skills, as well as ability to work in a fast-paced environment
