Packaging And Shipping Receiving Technician

The selected team member will support both McKinney and Satellite Site Pack Ship organizations within the Pack Preparation team by performing physical and administrative tasks in customer service, material handling, material movement, data entry, storing and distributing of supplies and equipment. Team member must be computer proficient, detail oriented, have good organizational skills and be a team player. Must be able to determine work priorities and improve upon targeted goals. Team members' ability to switch between job functions quickly and efficiently is critical to this role. Team members must be comfortable in a warehouse environment where safety shoes and safety glasses are mandatory. May be asked to travel to additional logistics sites in Dallas area to support.

  • This is a 1st shift, onsite position

What You Will Learn

  • As a Packaging and Shipping Receiving Technician at RTX, you will gain valuable experience in preparing products for packing and shipping according to specifications, ensuring quality control by inspecting items and accurately completing documentation for shipment. You also learn to maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to safety protocols and potentially operating equipment like pallet jacks and scanners.
  • You may earn paid certifications such as a forklift operator certification, crane & hoist operator certification, obtain a government Secret Security Clearance, and possible 49CFR certification

Qualifications You Must Have

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of warehouse, packaging/packing-related work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

The salary range for this role is 40,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
