Physical and work environment requirements:

• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the possibility of extended hours.
• Exposure to chemicals, identification of safety hazards, and hazard communication.
• Walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, and climbing.
• Ability to climb ladders and work overhead at varying heights.
• Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces / attic)
• Repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects
• Working in challenging environments with varying temperatures.
• Ability to perform emergency services on a 24-hour scheduled on call rotational basis.

Pay rate depends on the level of experience. It takes a minimum of 5 years to "top out."

Example:

• No experience: $18
• Some experience: $19 - $21
• With IICRC WRT certification or crew chief: $22 - $25
• Crew chief with a minimum of 5 years employment and contingent on all In House and External Certifications: $25+

Job description:

The technician performs production processes to fulfill the service needs of individual restoration projects and maintains the professional appearance of SERVPRO equipment as well as an assigned service vehicle. By providing quality, consistent, efficient work, the technician represents the best in the cleanup and restoration industry. You will primarily be performing mitigation in someone's home or business. This may be in the form of initial emergency services or more extensive projects. This may require that you perform light to heavy demolition of building materials. You will also handle professional cleaning products and equipment.

Primary responsibilities:

• Inventory and load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed for each project. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and clean equipment appearance.
• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities. Set up staging area and equipment for each project.
• Perform production processes as directed.
• Adhere to safety and risk management guidelines at all times.
• Communicate with the crew chief and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
• Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown. Leave the jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance.

Necessary experience and skill set:

• Strong work ethic.
• Strong oral communication skills.
• Experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction preferred.

Formal education/training:

• High school diploma/GED
• IICRC certifications preferred
