Plano Parks and Recreation is looking for Recreation Aides. Below is a listing of the primary job responsibilities:
• Provides outstanding customer service.
• Provides information regarding recreation facilities, programs, events, and memberships.
• Assist in monitoring and enforcing policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Registers patrons for recreation programs and memberships; advises patrons of available programs and services; verifies membership status.
• Takes money for programs, memberships, reservations, and point of sale items.
• Prepares rooms for program activities, meetings, and events.
What we are looking for
Our Recreation Aides are the front line of the tennis center. They are the first contact for our patrons and set the tone for their experience. Qualities we are looking for include above and beyond customer service, professionalism, knowledge of the City of Plano, excellent phone skills, outstanding communication skills, and accurate typing and computer skills. This position will handle many of the day to day operations including reserving courts, enrolling patrons in classes and leagues, and providing information about the programs and events we offer.
The target hourly rate for this position is 14.19, depending on qualifications.
Summary of Duties: Under close supervision, the Recreation Aide is responsible for providing assistance and support in the supervision of recreation programs, operations, and recreation center areas.
