Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Customer Service Representative with prior experience in healthcare or Medicaid environments.
The ideal candidate will handle inbound and outbound calls, assist members with inquiries, provide accurate information regarding benefits and services, and ensure a positive customer experience.
This role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with healthcare or Medicaid processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle high-volume inbound and outbound calls in a call center environment.
* Assist members with questions related to Medicaid benefits, eligibility, claims, authorizations, and provider information.
* Provide clear, accurate, and timely information while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
* Document all interactions in the system according to compliance and quality guidelines.
* Resolve member issues or escalate them to appropriate departments as needed.
* Verify member information and ensure data accuracy in all systems.
* Follow HIPAA and Medicaid regulations to protect member privacy and sensitive information.
* Educate members on available services, benefits, and program processes.
* Meet performance metrics, including call quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate with team members and supervisors for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a customer service or call center role (healthcare/Medicaid experience strongly preferred).
* Knowledge of Medicaid programs, claims, authorizations, or eligibility processes.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.
* Proficiency in computer systems, CRM tools, and data entry.
* Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
* High school diploma or equivalent (some roles may prefer additional education).
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in a managed care, health plan, or healthcare provider environment.
* Familiarity with HIPAA compliance, insurance terminology, and billing processes.
