Position Overview
The Office of Admissions, at the University of North Texas, is seeking to hire an Assistant Director, Graduate Recruitment to assist in all strategic and operational activities for the recruitment of students, under the direction of the Director of Graduate Recruitment. This position is responsible for participation in all aspects of the outreach of potential graduate students and will assist in the planning and implementation of university-wide, on and off-campus graduate recruitment activities. The Assistant Director will lead efforts to target growth by collaborating with campus partners and overseeing the implementation of strategic plans. This position will supervise the graduate admissions recruitment team.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field and four years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Previous Admissions Office experience.
* Thorough knowledge of recruitment and admissions practices within a higher education setting.
* Thorough knowledge and experience working with a diverse student population.
* Ability to develop recruitment programs, create effective materials, and effectively plan and coordinate group events.
* Ability to work collaboratively and support diversity of prospective students, community, constituents, staff, faculty, and other parties connected to this position.
* Ability to obtain personal credit card for travel reimbursement.
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in related field of higher education, student services, counseling, or related field.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously execute multiple projects.
