Senior Accountant

Description:

S+H Search is assisting a DFW-based construction services organization in the search for a Senior Corporate GL Accountant. This is a full-time, in-office role that plays a critical part in financial reporting, acquisitions, and ERP transition efforts.

This opportunity offers exposure to M&A activity, ERP conversion projects, and direct collaboration with senior leadership. Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Lead aspects of month-end close across multiple entities.
  • Support purchase price allocation (PPA) and M&A-related accounting.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Assist with ERP system transition and process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership on reporting, financial analysis, and special projects.
  • Prepare for external audits and support internal control reviews.
  • Contribute to the streamlining of close timelines and overall efficiency improvements.
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting and GL experience.
  • Public accounting experience highly preferred; exposure to private equity or construction a plus.
  • CPA preferred (or actively pursuing).
  • Experience with PPA, M&A accounting, or corporate development exposure is a plus.
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP.
  • ERP system experience; NetSuite knowledge preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and analytical ability.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and motivated to grow in a fast-paced environment.
