Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for night shifts, requiring ARRT (MR) certification and at least 2 years of MRI experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital imaging department using GE Explorer and 1.5T LX MRI scanners
- Position involves performing MRI procedures on ambulatory and inpatient populations
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Must wear grey scrubs per dress code
- Major responsibilities include performing and quality-checking MRI procedures, preparing patients and equipment, and maintaining safety and infection control standards
- Must screen all individuals for MRI safety before entry
- Will be responsible for accurate and timely documentation within the department's imaging records system
- Expected to communicate clearly with patients, ensuring comfort and understanding of procedures
- Role may require providing training and support to new staff members as a preceptor
- 50-mile radius rule applies; local travelers will not be considered
- Returning staff must verify eligibility if previously employed as a permanent employee
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years MRI technologist experience
- Active ARRT (MR) certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Active Texas license required if applicable
- Experience operating GE Explorer and 1.5T LX MRI equipment preferred
- Mandatory flu vaccination during flu season, no exemptions
- Must be able to provide 2 professional references
