Overview

A#1 Air is seeking skilled, experienced safety conscious Excavation Operators to join our team. As an Excavation Operator you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to dig trenches and holes that our plumbers need to access and work on underground pipes. In this role, you'll help to support excavation for our plumbers who will be installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of plumbing systems. This is an excellent opportunity to build hands-on skills and lay the foundation for the future in traditional plumbing solutions.

Overview:

A successful excavator will have the proper technical knowledge of how to operate heavy machinery or equipment. Expertise in this area is a must and the ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, or designs for a project.

What You Will Do:

• Operate heavy equipment or machinery to excavate underground pipes for plumbers
• Excavate rock, or other materials from open-pit mines, strip mines, quarries, or construction pits
• Read and interpret blueprints or designs to understand the requirements of the job
• Conduct preoperational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate, and refuel equipment
• Support backfilling and grading after plumbing installations
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and local safety guidelines

What You Need:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of excavator / relevant experience
• A valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Information regarding the proper safety precautions
• Physical Dexterity
• Proper technical knowledge of how to properly use equipment needed for the job
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to read construction drawings and plumbing schematics

Working Conditions:

• Enough strength, stamina, and agility to work safely on a job site
• Awareness of potential hazards like falling objects, hazardous atmospheres
