Sr. Director, Product & Category Management (Mobile Enhancements)

Role And Responsibilities
The head of Mobile Enhancements (ME) will be responsible for the performance, category management, development, and execution of the ME product management portfolio. Responsibilities include hardware platform product requirements, device launches, software updates, Voice of the Customer, building strategies, and providing technical/sales enablement for all consumer and enterprise channels, through direct and indirect channels. Coordinate with Marketing, Retail, Account teams, and Account category leads for product planning, launches, and GTM execution. Drive and align business including promotion and go-to-market activities for the category within the assigned customer base. Background in consumer-focused or technology industry with direct experience in product management, online, retail, category management, and customer-facing engagement.
- Responsible for the Samsung ME PM organization's overall business success in the U.S. region with a strong product roadmap and pipeline to support growth.
- Lead the development of the Services enablement plan for Mobile that drives upgrades, new customer acquisition, product attachment across Mobile categories, and loyalty/retention through end-user experience.
- Own ME Product Management strategy for the US market (wearables, true wireless, and accessories) across segments and channels.
- Drive alignment between SEA & Samsung HQ on product, service, experience, and partnership roadmaps.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify capability gaps, drive process improvement, and share industry and global best practices.
- Coordinate with CE, CS, and Mobile divisions to ensure seamless experiences across Samsung products with strategic customers involving product integration.
- Execute marketing programs, program management, and post-program evaluation; analyze data for ROI and impact.
- Use POS and syndicated data to understand retail and online sales environments for Mobile New Computing shoppers.
- Define product and service requirements and prioritize partnerships with R&D in Korea and North America.
- Develop and manage programs that drive Mobile Channel sales, sell-in and sell-out.
- Partner with Retail to grow Mobile New Computing category through space, assortment, pricing, training, merchandising, and promotions.
- Maintain device competitive comparisons for use by sales and services teams.
- Participate in carrier and retailer account calls with account leads.
- Manage channel-specific product marketing resources to align with customer objectives.
- Align B2B and B2C product management and device launch objectives; own flawless device launch execution.
- Develop Samsung thought leadership in ME device product marketing.
- Act as Voice of the Customer for ME product marketing requirements and strategy to local leadership and HQ.
- Collaborate with sales to identify partner opportunities with strategic customers involving product integration.
- Develop a holistic view of product services across channels to grow Mobile Paid Services attachment and revenue.
- Define product solutions with understanding of channel expectations, resources, and financial implications.
- Provide strategic direction on product design aligned with visions and objectives.
Skills And Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 16+ years in U.S. strategy and operations in consumer technology with B2B2C experience in mobility devices, services, consumer electronics, Internet, or related tech.
- Experience developing and managing mobile product and support strategies.
- Experience managing product launches and product marketing.
- Experience in a telecommunications environment.
- Experience leading product marketing staff and sales/services teams.
- Ability to identify service and support risks in wireless product technologies.
- Ability to interpret wireless terminals technical product materials; strong written/verbal communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows presentation software in a wireless network environment.
- Demonstrated project and program management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 14+ years of relevant experience.
