Description:

Clean Harbors in Denton, TX is actively seeking a Hazardous Materials Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate heavy machinery including backhoes, cranes, heavy-duty forklifts, and track hoes in various field environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Safely operate heavy machinery such as backhoes, cranes, and forklifts.
  • Complete daily inspection checklists for equipment operations.
  • Ensure all equipment is operated safely and complies with standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain required paperwork for tracking waste movements.
  • Secure all containers properly during operations.
  • Follow all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Operate vehicles in compliance with U.S. DOT regulations.
  • Adhere to corporate health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
  • Be available for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.
  • Engage in site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials handling.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Prior experience operating backhoes, cranes, forklifts, and track hoes.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks as required by the job.
  • Willingness to complete background checks, drug tests, and physical assessments as needed.
  • Meet OSHA's respiratory protection standards, including facial hair requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hazardous materials and tanker operations is a plus.
