Job Overview:
The Analyst, Accounting Operations will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and be responsible for supporting Accounts Payable and Receivable functions. This role involves analyzing accounting transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. The Analyst will prepare various reports, analyze performance using key performance indicators, and assist in resolving transactional discrepancies. Additionally, the role includes recommending improvements to policies and procedures, performing ad hoc processing functions, and collaborating with external vendors and internal stakeholders to enhance accounting processes and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze accounting transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support Accounts Payable and Receivable functions.
• Prepare reports and analyze performance using key performance indicators.
• Resolve transactional discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
• Perform ad hoc processing functions as needed.
• Manage procure-to-pay processes, invoice processing, and travel & expense processing.
• Handle exceptions, queries, and vendor/dealer statement reconciliations.
• Manage issues/escalations, including root cause analysis and resolution.
• Create and maintain desktop procedures.
• Provide audit support and assist with project and enhancement testing.
• Generate monthly metrics and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in fast-paced, complex billing and payment environments.
• Highly analytical with expertise in travel and expense processes, including audit logic against travel-related policies.
• Strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Experience with accounting ERP systems.
• Knowledge of controls and risk management over billing and payment processes.
• Good understanding of general accounting and internal controls related to accounts payable/receivable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of SAP and/or Ariba.
• Previous experience as an Analyst or Senior Analyst.
• Experience with process and system improvement projects.

Pay Range: $40 - $45

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
