About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Development to take on a pivotal leadership role within the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving results through strong volunteer recruitment and management, strategic planning, and meeting sales and fundraising goals. This role involves sustaining existing and building new corporate partnerships, as well as cultivating major donors and securing large corporate sponsorships. The Executive Director will also lead and coach staff, collaborate with internal partners, and participate in community and corporate functions to foster an engaged community and support the company's mission.
Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years' in non-profit fundraising or a similar field. The role requires the ability to travel daily within the designated area and to have reliable transportation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and experience in managerial roles, particularly with a sales or fundraising team, is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of philanthropic communities, direct knowledge of special event fundraising tactics, and experience in managing and cultivating high-level leaders at the C-suite level. The Executive Director will be a key player in the company's mission, with a focus on driving revenue and fostering community engagement.
