Franklin Street is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team in Dallas, TX.
The ideal candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, real estate, accounting, or related field. 1-3 years of experience in real estate investment, valuation, or debt/equity markets (multifamily experience preferred). Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced modeling and data management is required to be considered for this role.
Position Overview:
The Financial Analyst provides high-level analytical and market support for investment sales transactions across Texas. The role focuses on detailed underwriting, market research, and valuation for residential asset classes including multifamily, build-to-rent communities, RV parks, and mixed-use properties. This position requires strong modeling skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to contribute to client relationships in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
Financial Analysis & Valuation
- Prepare detailed financial models for a variety of residential investment types, improving upon existing templates and creating new tools as needed.
- Incorporate rent and sales comps, market studies, and macro/microeconomic trends into property valuations.
- Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities for revenue growth and expense optimization.
Client & Transaction Support - Prepare high-quality client presentations, proposals, and offering materials.
- Actively contribute to client interactions via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Work closely with brokers to develop transaction strategies and support ongoing deal execution.
Market Intelligence & Research - Maintain a working knowledge of lenders, banks, and capital markets to identify financing solutions for clients.
- Research and track market trends, competitive activity, and key industry players.
- Update and manage internal databases with current market data.
Collaboration & Internal Integration - Partner with Franklin Street's Capital Markets and Insurance divisions to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Share market insights and client intelligence across the team to maximize opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Real Estate, Accounting, or related field required.
- 1-3 years' experience in real estate investment, valuation, or debt/equity markets (multifamily experience preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced modeling and data management.
- Solid understanding of real estate finance concepts (IRR, NPV, Return on Equity, debt metrics).
- Ability to analyze and interpret large datasets to support investment decisions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing interaction.
