Position: Phlebotomy Specialist

Your Role:

As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare team by:

• Performing phlebotomy procedures to obtain specimens for laboratory testing
• Greeting and instructing patients on specimen collection methods
• Drawing blood specimens and collecting other types of specimens as necessary
• Labeling specimens accurately and entering data into the computer system
• Preparing samples for various laboratory departments
• Assisting with clerical duties, including answering phone calls

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience or certification through a clinical phlebotomy program
• Acute care hospital experience preferred
• Skilled phlebotomy technique and ability to obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire
