The Role and the Company

P&K Stone, LLC is a privately owned supplier of aggregate materials to the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex and Southern Oklahoma. As a company, we are firmly committed to providing the highest quality construction materials with the best service and reliability for our customers at a competitive price.

P&K Stone, LLC offers high quality crushed stone, manufactured sand and recycled concrete. Our aggregate materials are used in a wide range of construction aggregate applications including infrastructure projects, commercial projects and residential projects.

The Project Engineers role is based in North Texas and reports directly to the Vice President of Aggregate Operations

Primary Objectives for the position:

Projects

  • Champion safety
  • Work with the operations management team to develop and prepare concepts, scope, GA, and detail drawings for new plant and optimization projects
  • Develop project budget and schedule to meet target completion dates using internal and external resources where applicable
  • Assist in the development of, and adherence to, design standards.
  • Follow through on project completion and ensure objectives are met.
  • Create and maintain the project schedule.
  • Provide project updates to company leadership.
  • Pre-qualification of contractors
Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree with Civil or Structural Engineering background
  • At least 5 years of project engineering experience and related experience in a heavy industrial or mining environment.
  • In depth knowledge with aggregates processing equipment, pumping equipment, and fundamental electrical knowledge is desired.
  • Analytical, data focused, and metrics driven
  • Ability to communicate effectively at the field level and with management
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively and effectively. Detail orientated. Solves problems in a timely fashion.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze options and present a recommendation based on quantitative information
  • Microsoft Office products, Outlook, Excel and Word, and AutoCAD
Work Environment
  • Primarily office with some field work in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions
  • Periodic travel and overnight required
