SUMMARY: As a Production Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in managing production processes, ensuring quality output, and driving continuous improvement within our plant. Supply guidance and direction in trouble shooting basic technical problems, provide training of operators, follow-up on priorities and assist manufacturing in the daily needs of processing quality wafers. Meet the demands of cycle time, throughput, and output.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the shift in proper manufacturing protocol, behavior, and quality practices.
- Prepare regular reports and present performance updates to management.
- Champion a culture of safety, ensuring strict adherence to all safety protocols and practices. Ensure production operators complete required safety training and promote awareness of safe working practices across the production floor. Supervisors will lead by example when performing company duties.
- Guide and mentor, the operators to enhance their skills and knowledge in EPI Semiconductor manufacturing processes. Facilitate inter-shift communication to provide feedback on problems, opportunities, and accomplishments.
- Provide guidance to operators for trouble-shooting basic technical problems to get production back online with minimal impact. Provide 1st line investigation of technical problems and gather facts pertaining to process and quality problems. Present problems in detail to management as they arise.
- Actively participates in continuous improvement methodologies and recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and overall quality of product.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging and supporting employee suggestions for process enhancements and efficiency gains.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager, Planning and other department heads to execute production schedules that align with customer demands and production capabilities. Ensure the efficient use of resources to meet delivery timelines and cost objectives.
- Supervisor will perform manufacturing tasks as necessary to meet throughput goals including tool operation.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises the Line Leads. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or two years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven experience as a Supervisor in a semiconductor manufacturing environment or related manufacturing operation preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
OTHER SIKLLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to use Microsoft Office; Access, Excel and Word.
